UTS Video Journalism Project

Working with the same news event as used in A1 and A2, I produced a narrative multimedia news story on the platform, Shorthand. Making use of the research, newsgathering and interviews collected for Assessment 1 and Assessment 2, I assembled a continuous piece of narrative news reporting.

UTS Client Strategy Presentation

With the chosen client of Anderson Events, I summarised and pitched my client strategy in 5-7 minutes in class. Creation and presentation of a communication product was part of the client strategy. Tutor who marked my presentation gave me a distinction mark and good, relevant feedback from it.

UTS Individual Policy Report: A feed-in Tariff towards the Wind Energy Support in NSW

Writing an individual policy report on a topic relevant to climate justice and climate policy, the report included a NSW Wind Energy policy critique, a policy proposal for a wind tariff, an outline for implementation, and some
indication of policy ‘testing’. Policy ‘testing’ involved floating the proposals with university colleagues to gain direct feedback.
UTS Project: How do university students in
Kagoshima see gender inequality in Japan?

The Project is a 5,000 word piece of independent and sustained research on gender inequality in Japan. This demonstrated my ability to design and carry out an informed program of research on a topical issue in your host society. I used APA Referencing and primary research methods including surveys and interviews in Japanese.
Studying at Kagoshima University as an Exchange Student During 2023-2024

Over the course of my exchange program at Kagoshima University, I learnt Japanese at an intermediate level, presented to an elementary school about Australia, participated in creating a sports festival in remote areas of Kagoshima, Japan and made many friends in Japan. Have a look of my TikTok highlights in Japan.

UTS Client Strategy & Group Presentation

Our client was V-Engage for the UTS assessments for 52667 The Agency – Spring 2024.
V-Engage is a specialist strategic communications consultancy dedicated to helping businesses transition into the virtual world.
The task for my group was to answer the client brief with a reverse brief, a research report and a client presentation in front of V-Engage founder, Karen Khaw at the end of the UTS Spring 2024 session.
We received credit results as a group marking from marketing professional and my tutor, Malcolm Auld.
My role in the group was being the Team Leader. Together as a group, we made a group chat for communications purposes. We made Google Docs and developed a PowerPoint Presentation from Canva.
Overall, I nurtured skills such as time management skills, research analysis, involved in the creation of public relations and advertising tactics, public speaking skills, and many more.
It was a joy to work with my group of UTS students from similar disciplines, my tutor and my client, V-Engage to deliver an insightful presentation on virtual reality technologies targeting marketing tactics towards HR managers and alumni students in Australia.
UTS BUILD Spring 2024 Completion

Living in a globally connected world requires a global mindset and an awareness of your identity as a global citizen. UTS BUILD is a global leadership program designed to harness your leadership potential and develop your competencies as a global citizen and leader equipping you to deliver positive impact within greater society and the world.
I received my UTS BUILD Certificate in the Spring 2024 session. All coming from my array of exchange experiences, completion of online courses, extra-curricular Zoom sessions, and networking along the way.
The program is designed with our values in mind – Leadership, Global Citizenship, Empowerment, Intercultural Competency, Diversity and Inclusion and Social and Environmental Sustainability.
Through BUILD, I had the opportunity to grow and be a global leader. Firstly, to broaden my global mindset and learn about global issues from an Australian context. Furthermore, learning leadership skills, forging global connections and network across faculties added value to my career employability.
Thoroughly enjoyed completing the UTS BUILD Program in 2024. Recommend this UTS program to any UTS student.
